DESCRIPTION 

Out of the Box Theatrics (OOTB) is looking for a collaborative PRODUCTION ASSISTANT for their upcoming production of TRASH at PACNYC. The Production Assistant will be an active participant in the day-to-day responsibilities of the Stage Management team and the mounting of the show.

Tim and Jake may be Deaf roommates sharing an apartment in the city, but they’re polar opposites—each with very different views on what it means to be Deaf in a hearing world. When it comes to taking out the trash, they spiral into a comic and insightful examination of their personal garbage—and their perceptions of each other’s lives. 

OOTB is an Off-Broadway not-for-profit committed to lifting the voices of marginalized communities through the stories we tell. We produce intimate experiences for artists and audiences by shifting the perspective of existing works and providing a platform for new material. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• ASL-fluent. 

• Must be 18 years old. 

• Must be able to work nights and weekends up to 40 hours. 

• NYC Local.  

• Strong communication skills. 

• A positive attitude. 

• Strong interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Strong attention to detail. 

• Confidence problem solving in the moment. 

• Strong organizational and time management skills. 

• Good administrative and computer skills. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Attend rehearsals, tech, production meetings, and preview performances 

• Assist Stage Management from first rehearsal to final preview 

• Maintain master script 

• Oversee interpreters  

• Collaborate with multiple other departments

-Work under the Front of House Manager to seat audiences for 7-8 shows a week.

-Help audience members navigate the theater.

-Promote a safe, comfortable experience within the theater.

DESCRIPTION

Out of the Box Theatrics is looking for a reliable, outgoing, experienced BARTENDER for upcoming productions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• A positive attitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Confidence in problem solving in the moment

• Bartending or sales experience is a plus, but not required

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and sell drinks and snacks before performances and during Intermissions. Beverages include wine, beer, and canned drinks. Mix drinks are not served

• Provide patrons a positive pre-show experience

• Maintain cleanliness of concessions area and back-stock including countertops, floors, refrigerator, and popcorn machine

• Utilize Square for all concession transactions

• Follow all necessary health and safety procedures
